‘Our hearts go out’: Albanese’s first address to Parliament since the Bondi massacre

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese addresses parliament to pass on his condolences to the Bondi massacre victims, as well as their family and friends.
“As we pause in silence to remember them, we recognise that for you an unbearable silence has formed, the silence of laughter forever stilled,” Mr Albanese said.
“When the gunshots began, some people in the crowd looked up to the sky to see the fireworks, others thought it was balloons popping, then the horrific reality descended.
“Our hearts also go out to everyone who was injured and traumatised.
“May their memories be a blessing.”
