Watch live from the House of Commons as Sir Keir Starmer faces a tough Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday, just hours after it was announced that Peter Mandelson will be investigated by the police.
The former ambassador to the US and architect of New Labour will be subject to a criminal investigation after he allegedly sent confidential government emails to the paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
It comes as the embattled PM faces criticism for his vetting of the key Foreign Office posting.
The Conservatives have demanded that his vetting file be made public. Sir Keir has condemned the former cabinet minister and suggested he will explore new laws that could strip Lord Mandelson of his peerage.
