Prince Edward became the first member of the Royal Family to address the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, speaking publicly just months after King Charles III stripped Prince Andrew of his royal titles. During the World Governments Summit in Dubai on Feb. 3, Edward reportedly responded to a question from CNN regarding newly released Justice Department documents connected to the Epstein files. Per ‘The Independent,’ the royal emphasized compassion and noted that it is “important to remember the victims,” adding that there were “a lot of victims in all this,” before declining to comment further. His stance mirrors Charles’ earlier statement that disciplinary measures against Andrew were “necessary,” even as Andrew continued to deny allegations tied to Epstein. Edward’s remarks come shortly after the DOJ released additional documents reportedly related to Epstein’s communications with Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. E! News reached out to Buckingham Palace and Sarah Ferguson for comment but did not hear back. Andrew previously stated he supported Charles’ decision to remove his titles, saying he wanted to prioritize his duty to family and country. The royal maintained that he strongly denies the allegations against him, and acknowledged that ongoing accusations risk overshadowing the work of the Royal Family.
