Putin’s ‘inept’ invasion has been a ‘complete disaster’ as Russia admits defeat in Ukraine

0 February 18, 2026 15:00

Sir Bill Browder, the financier Vladimir Putin wanted gone more than any other, joins The Sun for an explosive deep dive into the true state of the Russia-Ukraine war.

The architect of the ground breaking Magnitsky Act reveals why he believes the Russian military is ‘corrupt, inept, and suicidal’ after suffering a staggering 1.2 million losses. Browder argues that Putin is now trapped in a ‘frozen conflict’ he cannot afford to end, using ‘meat wave’ attacks and a campaign of winter terror to stay in power.

From the failure of Donald Trump’s peace deals to why China may eventually "make a play" for Russian territory, Browder pulls no punches on the "psychopath" in the Kremlin and the $1 trillion in dirty money laundered through Western banks.
