San Diego faces nearly $7M midyear deficit

A San Diego budget committee meeting on Wednesday confirmed that the city is now facing a nearly $7 million midyear deficit. Officials said that the money the city thought it would get, including revenues from paid parking at Balboa Park, as well as declining hotel taxes, were some of the driving factors in the budget shortfall.
