SATS launches AI-powered command centre to help safeguard Singapore’s food security

Singapore’s food security has been boosted through a new system that can help manage risks to supply before they affect the country. The command centre is powered by AI and tracks global threats, such as port delays and disease outbreaks, in real time. The system is developed by Country Foods — a subsidiary of food logistics firm SATS — which accounts for about 15% of Singapore’s protein supply. With SATS operating in 27 countries, the hope is for more of its business units to adopt the same system around the world in future. Rachel Teng reports.
