Savannah Guthrie’s Olympics Replacement Revealed Amid Search for Mom | E! News

NBC announced Savannah Guthrie’s replacement for the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics in Italy as the search for her missing mom, Nancy Guthrie, continues. In a Feb. 4 statement, NBC Sports named Mary Carillo to fill in the role, adding, “Our hearts go out to Savannah and the entire Guthrie family. They continue to have our full support. We are fortunate to have a deep bench of talented commentators who will step in and fill these roles. Mary is one of the most experienced Olympic commentators ever and a master storyteller.” Earlier in the week, Savannah confirmed that her 84-year-old mom was reported missing from her Tucson, Ariz., home and that her family—including siblings Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie—was focused on the “safe return of our dear Nancy.” The Pima County Sheriff’s Department later confirmed that the octogenarian’s home had been designated a crime scene due to what investigators discovered.
