Singapore’s Calvin Quek ended a six-decade wait for gold in the men’s 400m hurdles at #SEAGames2025 on Monday (Dec 15), clocking 50.27s to finish ahead of Vietnam’s Nguyen Duc Son and Le Quoc Huy.

"This is something … I’ve been working towards since 2023. (It’s) been a tough 2024," said a visibly emotional Quek, speaking to reporters after the race.
