Singapore telcos attacked by UNC3886, prompting largest cyber response to date

All four of Singapore’s telco operators were targeted by cyber threat group UNC3886, prompting the country’s largest coordinated cyber response. Authorities activated six agencies in March 2025 after discovering the cyber threat group had exploited hidden vulnerabilities in telco systems. Investigations found no service disruptions or loss of sensitive customer data. Digital Development and Information Minister Josephine Teo
has called on all critical information infrastructure operators to keep investing in cybersecurity.
