Southwest Pilot Retires After Decades of Giving Back to Students

Captain Nancy Martin-Belitz, a veteran pilot of 38 years, has built a legacy by bringing the cockpit into the classroom, showing fifth graders across the country the magic of flight with Southwest’s adopt-a-pilot program. Now, as she gets set to retire, she looks back on the impact of helping people take a step toward their dream of taking to the skies. “I don’t think you’re ever really truly successful until you can give back,” she says.
