Commentator Stephen A. Smith has torn into California Governor Gavin Newsom for disparaging President Donald Trump while attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
On his ‘Straight Shooter’ podcast Wednesday, Smith said while he has no problem with criticism on American soil, slamming the president in a foreign country is unacceptable
“Say whatever you want here, as a governor from the opposite side of the aisle of a state in the United States, on American soil — fine. But I’m one of those people: when we go somewhere else, it’s America first,” Smith said.
It comes as Newsom revealed in Davos he brought "kneepads" for world leaders who he claims are "rolling over" when confronted by Trump.
