Theft halts free haircuts for Phoenix’s most vulnerable | FOX 10 Phoenix

A catalytic converter theft on New Year’s Day has sidelined a mobile barbershop that provided more than 1,200 free haircuts to people experiencing homelessness across the Phoenix area.
Darryl Brandt, the owner known as "The Dreaded Barber," is seeking community donations to cover thousands of dollars in repairs for the converted bus he calls a "vehicle for change."
The outreach program, which operates without corporate sponsors, remains stalled while Brandt works to raise the funds necessary to get back on the road.
