‘They had warning signs’: DOJ official criticises ‘weak’ Albanese over Bondi attack response

A US Department of Justice official has criticised the Prime Minister’s handling of the Bondi Beach terror attack.
The head of the Justice Department’s antisemitism taskforce Leo Terrell has also blamed the Australian government for allowing Jewish hatred to fester in the lead-up to the attack.
It comes as President Donald Trump’s special envoy to combat antisemitism warned the US is watching to see how the Royal Commission unfolds.
“They had warning signs of hate and terrorism towards the Jewish community … and I think the response by the Australian prime minister is weak,” Mr Terrell said.
