“They’d rather arrest you”: Graham Linehan issues stark warning on Labor’s hate speech laws

Comedy writer Graham Linehan warns Australians over Labor’s hate speech laws after arrest for transgender-critical tweets he calls “freedom of speech”.
“Politicians do not like fixing the difficult issues … they would rather arrest you for noticing the things they do not want you to notice,” Mr Linehan told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.
“The pile they’ve swept under the rug gets bigger and bigger, and none of us can talk about it.
“All of this stuff, as we’ve found out over the last 10 years, comes wrapped up in the cosiest language.”
