Pope Leo XIV has delivered his first Christmas Day message as head of the Catholic Church, calling for peace and unity.
He was one of many religious leaders offering words of hope and togetherness.

“Let us not allow ourselves to be overcome by indifference towards those who suffer, for God is not indifferent to our distress,” Pope Leo said.
