Trump admin designates Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan as ‘terrorists’

The White House has designated Muslim Brotherhood organisations in Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan as “terrorists”.

The decision was made after US President Donald Trump issued an executive order directing his administration to start blacklisting the groups.

The Trump administration’s new designations make it illegal in the United States to provide material support to the groups.

The Lebanese organisation has an additional penalty which bans members of the group from entering America.
