Trump Greenland Obsession: Ray Locker Slams Trump’s Greenland Ambitions As ‘Insane’ Amid NATO Crisis
visibility comment0 event January 19, 2026 timer 12:45
In this episode of India First, security expert and author Ray Locker joins former BBC correspondent David Willey to discuss the escalating tensions between the United States and Europe. Ray Locker delivers a scathing critique of Donald Trump’s foreign policy, stating, ‘He’s a total lunatic, and a convicted felon, and he attacked Venezuela, and kidnapped .’ Locker argues that there is no strategic necessity for the U.S. to possess Greenland and warns that the NATO alliance is in ‘critical condition’ due to Trump’s erratic behavior. The discussion covers the potential for a ‘trade bazooka’ from Europe, with the EU considering tariffs on $108 billion of U.S. goods in response to Trump’s proposed 10% levy. David Willey notes that while Europeans find Trump’s style ‘abhorrent,’ they may attempt to wait out the administration until the midterm elections. Locker concludes that Trump’s tariff policies are actively damaging the American economy, leading to lost manufacturing jobs and higher costs for consumers.
