Trump says Iran deal to end war will bring ‘success to the world’ at G7 Summit meeting with Macron

The United States and Iran are set to begin a week of high-stakes diplomacy Monday after announcing a framework deal to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a preliminary agreement that has already pushed oil prices lower but leaves the fate of Iran’s nuclear program to future negotiations.
Trump, who’s currently at a G7 summit, said during a meeting with Emmanuel Macron that the U.S. won’t "need much help" from America’s allies to keep the Strait of Hormuz open but it welcomes France’s assistance.
