US President Donald Trump has said the killing of Iranian protesters has stopped.
The president also said the Iranians have made no plans to conduct executions.
Trump’s comments come as pressure continues to mount on Iran’s authoritarian regime from its citizens.
Reports have emerged suggesting that the US may strike Iran as it removes some personnel from the region.
Reuters has reported "signals" of a US attack are clear amid threats that Trump will intervene.
Reports out of Iran claim over 2,000 protesters were killed during the demonstrations.
