US President Donald Trump said a potential 2028 ticket featuring JD Vance and Marco Rubio would pose a formidable challenge to Democrats.
Trump described the pair as having different styles, saying one is “slightly more diplomatic,” but stressed that both are highly intelligent.
He added that Vance and Rubio are willing to engage with a wide range of media, including long-form podcasts.
Trump contrasted their approach with opponents he claimed avoid unscripted appearances because “they couldn’t handle it.”
The president concluded by saying the Vance-Rubio combination would be “very hard to be beaten.”
