Trump slaps Switzerland with higher tariffs following heated call with Swiss official

US President Donald Trump has revealed he hiked up tariffs on Switzerland following a frosty phone call with a Swiss official.
In an interview with Fox Business, Trump recounted the call, describing the Swiss leader as “very aggressive, but nice.”
“I couldn’t get her off the phone,” Trump told Fox Business host Larry Kudlow.
He went on to explain his frustration which led him to increase the tariff from 30 per cent to 39 per cent.
Trump said he received an influx of Swiss officials lobbying for relief, prompting him to settle on a compromise.
He did not specify the exact official the call was conducted with.
