Trump threatens tariffs on countries opposing US control of Greenland

US President Donald Trump has warned European nations they could face new tariffs if they oppose his plans for Greenland.
The US president says Greenland is vital to US security due to its strategic location and large supply of minerals.
Mr Trump has refused to rule out the use of force and has flagged sanctions against nations rejecting his position.
The White House has also floated buying the Arctic island, at an estimated cost of around $1 trillion.
