Trump threatens to invoke Insurrection Act amid ICE protests in Minnesota

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has addressed rising tensions between his community and federal ICE agents following a second shooting in Minneapolis.
The latest incident has put the city at the centre of growing anti-ICE sentiment.
The Department of Homeland Security says the shots were fired in self-defence.
US President Donald Trump has now threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act in the state.
“If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of ICE … I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT,” Mr Trump posted to Truth Social.
