Trump tours NASA HQ, shares Space Academy announcement with ISS astronauts during call

President Donald Trump announced Aug. 28 that the United States will create a Space Academy to train officers who can serve in the sixth branch of the military. He shared the news with astronauts aboard the International Space Station during a stop inside NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
Trump signed the executive order to begin the process of creating the academy aligned with the U.S. Space Force. He said he has not chosen a location.
