This special report covers the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the Karur stampede, with Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay being questioned in Delhi. The investigation follows the tragic incident where 41 people lost their lives. The CBI is examining the roles of both TVK functionaries and the Tamil Nadu Police, with nine individuals already questioned, including Vijay’s core team. A key focus of the interrogation is the actor-politician’s seven-hour delay in arriving at the rally, which may have contributed to the crowd surge. The report also delves into the political strategy of Vijay, who has positioned himself against both the DMK and the BJP, and how the outcome of this CBI probe could significantly impact his political future in Tamil Nadu.
