The Victorian Government has finally released the Country Fire Authority’s Annual Report after it was initially delayed.
The CFA report revealed a $21.8 million increase in government grants for the financial year.
Total income was $477.4 million, including $361 million in grants.
The report has faced criticism from firefighters and the Opposition over the state of firefighting equipment, with claims of outdated trucks, broken ladders, and safety concerns.
The premier defended the equipment standards, but firefighters insisted more funding is needed for maintenance.
The report also showed 42,000 incidents attended, 438,000 volunteer hours, and 79 per cent of emergency response times met.
