We Talk: British reflect on China-UK ties amid first PM visit in 8 years

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in Beijing on January 28, kicking off a four-day official visit to China. Starmer’s visit marks the first time a British prime minister has come to China in eight years.

CGTN stringer took to the streets of London, inviting British citizens to share their impressions of China and their understanding of cooperation between the two countries. One citizen, Philip Addington, said, "My impression of China is very good. I think the people are very warm. The country is growing really rapidly." Another, Matthew Addington, said, "What I know now is that the tech side of the Chinese industry is becoming increasingly strong as a market in England. Chinese electric cars are state-of-the-art and much in demand."
