The current global landscape is marked by a complex interplay of turmoil and disorder, with unilateral bullying becoming increasingly rampant, and the rule of international law and justice is facing severe challenges. Against this backdrop, the authority and effectiveness of international law deserve close examination.
Doctor Eyad Abu Mustafa of Gaza University shared his insights on global governance practices grounded in the international rule of law. He noted that the ongoing occupation of Palestinian territories by Israeli forces blatantly violates international humanitarian law. This example underscores that when international rules are selectively ignored and double standards prevail, global peace and stability will inevitably suffer further erosion.
