On New Year’s Eve, Chinese President #XiJinping delivered his 2026 New Year message through China Media Group and the internet. International students from Tajikistan, Vietnam and Portugal responded positively to President Xi’s address, evaluating it from their own perspectives.

Vietnamese youth Tiểu Thanh stated that President Xi’s address reviewed China’s achievements in 2025, and that what impressed her most was China’s significant progress in fields such as artificial intelligence, chips, robotics and aerospace. "These are truly remarkable accomplishments," she said.

Shahnoza Amirbekova, an international student from Tajikistan, focused on China’s development achievements in science, technology and culture. She expressed her belief that the Tianwen-2 probe’s exploration of asteroids fully demonstrated China’s tremendous achievements in space exploration.

For Portuguese youth Rafaela, the most touching part of the speech was its focus on people’s well-being. "These policies reflect genuine care for the people," she said.
