Why Preston Lord murder trials are being pushed back

A judge on Monday agreed to separate two defendants from a group of six accused in the deadly beating of Preston Lord and pushed back the trial date.
The judge granted motions to sever Talan Renner and Jacob Meisner from the other four defendants, meaning the men will be tried separately rather than in a single joint trial.
