Multiple Zipps Sports Grill locations in Tempe, Glendale, and Scottsdale have resumed operations this week after a series of federal immigration raids. The reopenings come days after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents detained more than 35 employees during a valley-wide operation on Monday, Jan. 26.

According to court documents, the raids were the result of a yearlong investigation into allegations of identity fraud and the use of falsified employment records.

While the investigation focused on workers accused of using fraudulent Social Security numbers to gain employment, federal authorities have not filed charges against owner Todd Goldman or the company’s corporate leadership.

The locations began reopening Wednesday, starting with the Tempe restaurant, followed by additional sites in Glendale and Scottsdale on Thursday. FOX 10’s Brian Webb has the details.
