Actor Joseph Zada stops by TODAY to talk about his role as Cal Trask in the highly anticipated Netflix adaptation of John Steinbeck’s “East of Eden” and explains why he didn’t watch the original adaptation before starting the project. “Our showrunner and writer Zoe, she asked me not to originally. I had sent in an audition without seeing it first…she liked my personal take on the character so I didn’t watch until I finished,” he says. He also talks about his upcoming role as Haymitch Abernathy in “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.”
