Trump talks AI name change to SI, addresses race with China. ‘Whoever wins super intelligence, wins’

Trump announced Tuesday that he was rebranding “artificial intelligence” as "super intelligence" in all government documents with an executive order. A day later, he explained that the name change came in consultation with tech leaders at a White House meeting.

The name change from AI to SI followed those leaders signing a new White House Accord on their product.

The document is garnering attention for reasons that have nothing to do with its content.The "morally binding" accord on developing the technology safely, signed by the president and leading tech executives at the White House on Sept. 29, includes a misspelling under the president’s signature with “United States” written as "Unites States."
